John O'Sullivan Non-Executive Chairman

John O’Sullivan has 30 years’ experience in recruitment with senior roles at Ajilon (UK) Limited, trading as Computer People, Best International Group plc and Spring Group plc. He is currently a non-executive director and strategic advisor to eight companies in the Talent Management and Recruitment sector. John was a founder and has been a Non-executive Director since March 2005, becoming Chairman in April 2014.


Farooq Mohammed Executive Director, Digital Gurus

Farooq has worked in recruitment for over 10 years. He was one of the original founders of Digital Gurus, starting the business in a spare room also used as a television repair workshop. Digital Gurus grew rapidly to become a multimillion turnover business with offices in London, Dubai and Australia. In 2016 Digital Gurus became part of the Rethink family and added a Manchester office in 2017. Farooq has a background that encompasses more than just recruitment, having worked in both private and public sector organisations. He joined the Group Board in 2017.


John Zafar Non-Executive Director

John is a chartered management accountant and he joined the Rethink Group as Non-Executive Director in March 2017. He is currently CEO of Celsus Group, a leading healthcare and locum provider. John also serves as non-executive director to two other recruitment businesses. He brings over thirty years of experience in the recruitment sector, across a wide variety of markets and he works alongside private equity investors such as the Business Growth Fund, where John is an advisor on recruitment sector investments.


Mark Lee Cheif Executive Officer

With 20 years experience building highly successful recruitment services businesses across EMEA, a background in recruitment technology start-ups and various NED positions with hyper-growth new generation recruitment businesses, Mark is passionate about people creating transformational business change and whilst never forgetting the life-changing effect they have on every person they interact with.


Rudolph Botha Chief Financial Officer

Rudolph qualified as a Chartered Accountant in South Africa, before beginning his professional career at Deloitte in London. He previously held senior finance roles with Nestor Healthcare Plc (FTSE 250) and CACI Inc. (Fortune 1000) completing and integrating various M&A transactions whilst leading the European corporate development functions.

Rudolph joined Hamilton Bradshaw in 2010 as Investment Director and appointed NED onto various investee company Boards. He was appointed Group CFO of K2 Consulting Group in 2015 and completed the management buy-out alongside Inflexion.


Laura Cockburn Non-Executive Director

Laura joined BGF in May 2017 to focus on direct origination across the South of England. She now leads on Origination across London and SE as well as sitting on a number of portfolio company Boards. Laura has more than 15 years of investment experience, including six years as a director in Royal Bank of Scotland’s special opportunities fund and has held positions with HBOS Joint Ventures, CIT Group Partners and HM Treasury, where she worked as a policy adviser.

Laura joined BGF from Knight Corporate Finance, where she advised businesses and entrepreneurs on a range of transactions including fundraising, trade sales and institutional investments.
