Company info

Ventalution was founded in the year 2000. Since its inception it has become an established provider of innovative products and systems in the field of ventilation for Residential Buildings, primarily new build. The Company Head Office is based in Twickenham.
 
Ventalution supplies and installs ventilation systems for Developers and their Contractors. Working closely with Architects, Consulting Engineers, Specialist Manufacturers and End Clients, Ventalution has built a formidable reputation in its 14 year history, quietly going about its business of providing Industry Associates and their customers with high quality, high performance, reliable and' value for money' products.
 
 
Ventalution sources product (fans, ducting, air bricks etc) from established manufacturers. eg Nuaire, Ventaxia, Manrose- competitive terms have been agreed with these manufacturers. Ventalution's labour force, currently some 35 strong, in the main work on a fixed price per measured piece of work (as opposed to being paid day rates) and this enables Ventalution to price competitively and prudently, win an increasing share of the market and obtain a good financial return.
 
Ventalution Limited is a well-established business with predictable revenue streams from a broadening and consistent customer base. The Company has diversified aged debtors with low concentration, a strength that is underpinned by the ready access to credit insurance. Steady, historic growth, while containing costs all give confidence in the management’s ability to meet its future projections and its loan obligations going forward.
 
In the past 12 months Ventalution has experienced significant growth, which, in the directors opinion has two main root causes. Firstly, they have benefitted from the current strength of the construction sector which has allowed them to win and increasing share of the market. Secondly, they believe that their reputation in the construction industry has developed and that they are now considered a ‘stayer’ having survived the difficult period that followed the 2008 financial crisis. This is borne out by the size of their ‘potential order book’ (tenders submitted awaiting award), which currently stands at £6m. 
 
Ventalution successfully obtained a £300,000 loan through ArchOver in December 2014, which was used to pay off an RBS loan/overdraft and part fund the working capital increase. To fund this growth Ventalution have also borrowed a further £250,000 through the ArchOver platform in February 2015.
 
Throughout they have maintained their security cover well over the minimum required. All payments have been made promptly.

Jeremy Janion Chairman, Owner and Finance Director

A qualified accountant, Jeremy has a successful track record in creating new businesses, growing them and then exiting with capital gain. He is the primary investor in the business and is actively involved in maintaining financial control and agreeing and driving strategic objectives. Before his commercial career began, Jeremy was an international rugby player and capped by England 12 times on the wing. Writing in the The Telegraph in 2001, the well-known broadcaster John Inverdale even confessed that Jeremy was his childhood hero!

Paul Whiteman Managing Director

Paul is a fully qualified engineer with a diploma in business. His input into the Operations and Sales disciplines over the last few years have resulted in Ventalution’s acquisition of clients in the form of prime house developers and consulting engineers. His involvement from pre-order meetings right through the project works and amendments to design ensure that he builds and maintains relationships with the M and E contractors.
